Our dog is a licker. She’s part nervous and part bored, and her default for both is licking anything she can before she gets caught. This seemed like a product fit exactly for her, and while I was hopeful, it exceeded my expectations within an hour of delivery. I’ve now owned two mats for approximately 45 minutes. I took time to wash, prep and smear some peanut butter (her choice of treats) on the first mat for a trial run. After setting it on the floor, her tongue hasn’t stopped trying to reach the last bits of peanut butter for 20 minutes straight, save one small break to look at the mat, as if puzzling how to get her tongue into every last corner. I can see she’ll be busy a while longer yet, and this has instantly resolved both boredom and licking at the same time in the exact method I had hoped for. I can’t wait to try the soothing mat during a nervous bought, but I have little doubt she’ll be just as engrossed.

I have two dogs with two very different personalities that both get something good from this product. My ever-anxious pittie has always licked to soothe herself. The tile, the rug, and especially her bed. She would lick her empty dish for 20 minutes after eating a meal. This lick mat is like a pacifier for her. We slap on a little peanut butter or canned pumpkin on it and she first licks to get the treat. But then she continues to lick the mat for a long time, which I can only believe soothes her. Our lab just likes it for the treats! It's just a little more fun for him to have to work for it and it gives him something to do and be entertained by. Once the treat is gone, though, he's over it and ignores it.

I have a high energy dog that needs to be constantly active. He LOVES these mats. I work a few tablespoons of wet food in the stress relief one and it keeps him occupied for 10 or 15 minutes and uses up a lot of nervous energy. When his tummy is upset from eating something in the yard, I feed him with the mat that has bigger spacing. That way, he gets his food but doesn't gulp it down. It takes him 5-10 minutes to finish a portion. I wait and see how that settles, then feed him the same way again. These mats are also very easy to clean.

I’m always trying to find ways to stimulate my huskies mind on top of his physical activity. He was on the first lickmat for 30 mins and I brought him the second for another 30 mins. He didn’t even finish the treats on it. He’s a fast eater and I use a maze bowl in order to slow down the eating. This lickmat he was surprisingly gentle with and enjoyed it. I’m definitely happy with my purchase. So the lickmat may definitely be used daily if not every other. I used half a tablespoon of almond butter on one and pumpkin on the other.

So glad I found this product! My mini dachshund hates having his nails clipped. I get nervous, he gets nervous and yips and tries to bite! A groomer asked me not to bring him back again. I smeared peanut butter on the Lickimat and set it before the little monster. I then clipped his nails, all of them, all the feet while he happily licked up peanut butter! Took the trauma and the drama right out of the equation! I wish I had found Lickimat sooner. Cleans up with some water and a brush.

I loooooove this product! My dogs don’t really gobble their food, but I wanted something that would keep them entertained. Well , this is it! It took my older dog about 45 minutes to eat her meal (as opposed to 3-5 minutes). My puppy likes it too. I use it to feed meals, as treats, as a treat whenever I’m heading out the door....

The puppy loves this with peanut butter on it. It keeps her busy and she is tired after licking it!

Greatest ever!

I have a older female Yorkie who licks everything. They say it is calming to her. I received this today and both Yorkies love it and have spent quite some time licking off the doggy peanut butter I got. It took very little peanut butter which was nice too. She also has separation anxiety so I plan on giving this to her if we leave the house to clam her down and distract her. So far great product to keep your dog occupied.

This liking mat kept my little dog busy and then he napped!

These are great! Not only do my two Goldens get a little treat, but it keeps them occupied for about 20 minutes. I've used fat free plain yogurt, peanut butter, and canned dog food on them. Love how easy it is to clean and that it's safe to go in the dishwasher.

Trying to slow your dog's eating time? Or find an activity to keep your dog engaged? Then this is an awesome item to have!

My dog is one of those anxious types that will just sit and lick the sofa for an hour if you let her. Smushed a couple tablespoons of peanut butter on this lickimat and she spent almost an hour licking it. She seemed very happy with it. Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to scrub the stuck on food/peanut butter out of the corners.

Super easy to clean, I just shake it in the soapy water and all left over food comes loose. I would buy again.

Opened it as soon as it arrived. Bella loved it. She is a 4 month old Lab full of energy. Kept her busy for some time. There are so many optional uses for this. I just tried with peanut butter. Will take another’s advice and mix in food and freeze. I just love this and so did Bella. P.S. be sure to supervise as this is not a chew toy! I will use it when I am trying to watch TV a bit and place it at my feet to keep her out of trouble.

These are great little mats to put peanut butter on for the dogs BUT they do not have any suction. My dogs lick them, pushing them across the room. I'm not sure if that is a bad thing really but I find them under couches.
-
This kept my pup busy for 30 while minutes! She LOVED it!
-
My dogs are totally loving these mats. I did thin layers of peanut butter so that it was really in there and not above the tops of the nubbies. They were curious immediately. The mats kept them busy for a long time.

Must have for pet parents!

I have a Shiba that loves to lick anything and thought this would be perfect for her. I immediately opened it and set it up for her, she stayed there relaxed licking for a long while, loved it. It was very easy to clean. I looked online and there are many snack recipe ideas.

One day my dog just stopped eating off plates or from bowls. I had to switch to hand feeding wet food or letting her eat wet food off the floor. I got this and put her food on and she ate off it with no problem. I have a Shihtzu so maybe because these are raised in an area , maybe the food was easier to eat because of her short snout area. She loves licked peanut butter from it. She loves to lick. Be sure to get doggie safe peanut butter, not just any kind.

These have been hit and miss. My dog wouldn't use it at first. It helped a bit when I discovered my dog hates peanut butter, so I switched to cream cheese. Unfortunately, they don't suction, so the dog is constantly flipping it over.

We loved it!Highly recommended!!

I have a puppy who loves to run, jump, and play..... but sometimes I need a break from the energy. These have been the best for occupying her for a long period of time. The mat with the rounded points takes her longer to finish. It is also easier to clean.
-
My dogs love these lickimats.

This lick pad is great. It keeps my puppy busy for an hour when I spread Greek Yogurt on it. She loves the yogurt, it is a fun activity for her and the yogurt is healthy. The only problem is that my puppy then loves to chew on the pad so I need to keep an eye on what she is up to. I have recommended this to several others with dogs.

Amazing product. Keeps my dogs busy for a long time with minimal effort
-
I'm overall really happy with this mat- but it could be even better! I absolutely love how much my dog enjoys this mat and it's so easy to clean! However, it isn't nearly as easy to suction to surfaces as I would like.
-
Love this product. I have a ten year old dog with one tooth and she has such a hard time eating. When I place her chicken on the mat it is perfect for her. She can eat without me handing her each piece. She also loves to lick peanut butter off of the mat.
-
Our 2 dogs love these! They would spend hours licking these if we let them.
-
The Lickimat definitely slows down the speed at which my Jack Russell puppy eats, which is why I bought it. DISLIKE: Handwash only!
-
Love these for my dogs. I give to them when I leave and my senior dog loves it. So does my young dog. They both get so tired they pass out.
-
We just got this about a week ago. The first time, my dog was super excited to lick for 10-15 minutes. The second and third time, it only kept her busy for a couple of minutes. And the one with the little nubs is a pain in the butt to clean--it should totally come with a special cleaning brush to get between those bristles!
-
The product is good during dinner time. Keeps the dog busy and leaves family alone
-
This is the best licks mat.
-
Love that I can put peanut butter on and keep my dog interested.
